Business standard reporter Somesh Jha has proved that print journalism is alive and kicking. His scoop of the much-awaited-but-unreleased jobs data in India has unsettled the myth that print reportage is dead or dying.
The story reported unpublished govt data showing that unemployment was at a 45-year-high under the Narendra Modi government.
A report on Indian Journalism Review says that Jha has been a journalist for five years. The other major print media story was the investigative report by The Tribune which exposed how easy and cheap it was to buy into the Aadhar database.
