Indian Express only newspaper to write edit against BJP Tejasvi Surya's media gag

IE wrote against the sweeping gag order by a Karnataka court

A court in Bangalore had granted (ex-parte) a sweeping media gag against 45 media houses and some social media houses. Most of the newspapers and magazines have remained mum about it, except the Indian Express.

Tejasvi Surya, Karnataka general secretary for BJP's youth wing, is the party's youth face in Karnataka in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. He had applied for a media gag after social media accounts made #MeToo allegations against him, accusing him of violence and abuse.
