Patiala House court directs Delhi Police to lodge FIR against Arnab Goswami
A court in Delhi has directed the Delhi Police to lodge an FIR against Republic TV editor, Arnab Goswami. The court ruled in favour of an application made by former union minister and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor.
Tharoor had approached the court, alleging that Goswami had accesses confidential material in the probe related to his wife Sunanda Pushkar’s death.
Waning Media Focus Causes Major Delay in Slain Journalist's Murder Trial
The parents of murdered TV journalist Soumya Vishwanathan have written to Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal, asking for a public prosecutor for the murder trial of their daughter. The trial has slowed down miserably over the last decade as media interest in the trial also took a dive.
It began with a message circulated on Whatsapp that was apparently sent out by the Mumbai-based English language daily—Daily News & Analysis.
The message read:
