NSA Ajit Doval’s Sin files criminal defamation against Caravan magazine

Submitted by ushinor on 21 January 2019

Caravan magazine published a story on Vivek Doval, the younger son of national security adviser Ajit K Doval.

The story claims that Vivek Doval runs a hedge fund based on the Cayman Island—a tax haven that has figured, amongst others, in investigative journalism reports by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), titled Panama Papers and it’s sequel Paradise Papers

The Caravan story claims that NSA Doval had co-written a 2011 paper with RSS ideologue S Gurumurthy for the BJP calling for a crackdown on tax havens.
